Never mind Seeney not actually achieving the thing that Nicholls 'also achieved', what about that Mayor swinging to Opposition Leader:
if I replace Newman's with my name, it makes as much sense.
He has not won preselection, he has not won an election (neither have I) ... but "he WILL lead the Party"?

A warning to Newman: a Ballarat Mayor thought she would 'simply change' to being Lib member, such A Sure Thing after the sitting guy resigned after 20 years of it. Won preselection and stood confidently, BUT Kennett was blown out of water.
